THIRD PRACTICE LAST PERIOD!!!
Well, and this last practice came, I was kind of nervous because I was going to be recorded in my class, but I tried to do my best. This day, I went to my classroom really early, wrote the objective on the board and waited for the teacher and the students that arrived a little bit late in the classroom. It is kind of difficult to develop all the activities if you do not have the stimated time. I started my class around twenty minutes late that day and with just three students. I was going to review the same topic of the last class and it was "modals in passive voice" As a warm up I started dictating some modals and I explained to the students that as soon as they listen to the modal they do not have to talk or even say a word, instead they had to think of a sentence, write it down and as soon as they finished, they had to stand up and read their sentence out loud, the student that finished before the other ones got a prize, they enjoyed the activity. At the beginning I think that they didn´t understand my directions but I explained it again and they worked.
After I finished with my war up, I started with my first activity, I asked them to write an in class essay. They had to create an essay in which they had to write about the topic "the importance of treating animals humanely" I mentioned to them some details that we had to think of at the time of writiing an essay, they did what I asked them to do and after they finished writing it, they read it out loud for their classmates and I aldo checked the students pronunciation and corrected when necessary.
In my second activity I made a review about the adjectives that they had studied some days before, I asked to check a page of their books and to see the adjectives they had already used. I wrote some sentences on the board using the passive voice with adjectives and they also gave me some examples.
In order to develop my third activity, I wrote on the board some topics related to the "animals" I also asked to sit in pairs and discussed those topics, they did it so, they talked about the topics and I also gave my opinions.
I had prepared a debate as my last activity but we all were discussing about those topics that I didn´t even do the debate because the class ended as a debate, I enjoyed a lot the last activity, I shared ideas with my students and also new their points of view about the nature and about the problems that are affecting our lives every day.
After I finish this activity I thaked them for their colaboration and gave them some candies.
This is the way I finish all my practices, I went through many experiences and situations, but I can finally say that even though as a teacher we face many problams and difficult situations, pressure and everything I was born to be a teacher and I love my major.
These practices helped me to love and know what I was born for. I love being an english teacher and I thank God for giving me the opportunity of teaching basic, intermediate, advanced levels and also english access students. This was the best exerience in all my major.
SECOND PRACTICE, LAST PERIOD
This is my second practice and I am really excited because I am about to finish, I am just missing one practice. I think it is a mixed of feelings because I am happy to finish my major but on the other side I feel kind of sad because I will miss teachng at the university, doing my practices, sharing with teachers and students, etc.
This day I gave my class with enthusiasm, I honestly didnn´t know what to do as a warm up due to the fact that there are just some studetns. The topic I had to teach was "modals in assive voice", so I started the class by reviewing the passive voice, I prapared a reading comprehension activity that was about "jury duty" I like that reading because of the vocabulary. The students had to read it by themselves and identify the passive voice on it and read it ot loud.
After they read that paragraph and remember about the passive voice, I gave them the structure of the passive voice and also some examples, they gave me some examples too and in this way I knew how much they knew about the passive voice that was the topic that we were reviewing.
After I made sure that the passive voice was clear for them, I asked them to write three more sentences practicing the same tpic and they did it very good.
Then, I introduced the modals to them, I asked them to tell me all the modals they knew in order to review it too, so the students dictated all the modals they knew and practice. I also gave them the structure of it and asked them again to write some sentences using the modals to know how much they know about it.
After I had reviewed the passive voice and the modals with the students I introduced the new topic that was modals in passive voice! To introduce this topic I asked them some questions related to our country, some questions like:"Who may be elected president in El Salvador?" and the students were giving their opinions not knowing that they were using the structure that I was about to teach, I t was fun. I also gave them a MEMO n which they had to pay attention to the modals in passive voice and the structure.
After having a conversation with them about the questions I made, I gave them the structure of this new topic for them and I also provided some examples on the board.
After I made sure they had understood the new topic I geve them a fill in the blanks activity, they had to complete some sentences on a sheet of paper, I always like to solve the first exercise in order to explain to them the way they are going to work.
Then, after I checked all the exercises with them all, I gave them another activity in which they had to change some active sentences into passive voice, they did it very nice and worked really fast, that told me that they were already familiar with the new topic, that they had understood what I had already taught.
Fnally, I asked them to get in pairs in order to do the last activity, they had to make a conversation in which they had to practice everything we had been reviewing and learning, they did everything I asked them to do and colaborated in my class. They finally role played the conversation in front of the others and I checked their pronunciation and corrected it when it was necessary.

FIRST PRACTICE, LAST PERIOD
Well, this time I had to teach advanced english with teacher Giovanni Blanco. Let me tell you that this time was so different than before because in my last practices I had to teach basic and intermediate levels, and also english access. When you are about to teach an advanced level, you are eager to see how different it is going to be, how the topics are going to be and if they are going to be difficult to teach.
The topic I had to teach this time was about the correlative conjunctions, to be honest I didn´t remember what that topic was about and it was really stressful because I asked the lesson plan to the teacher and was waiting for it during some days and it didn´t appear until the day I had to teach. At that time I had already prepared something or my class, I had some activities.
In the evening I went to give my class, I felt kind of unsure and uncomfortable but I try to do my best that day.
I started the class doing the warm up in a different way, I started to make some questions to the students, in that group there are only eight students and the problem is that not all of them go to class every day, I started my warm up with only three students, I asked them if they knew about the correlative conjunctions, and I also pasted some information on the board and provided some examples.
The first activity I deveoped was i pais, at this time I had six students. I gave them a piece of paper contaning some sentences and the students had to look for the correlative conjunctions and underline them.
It is really nice when the students participate in the activities; in this group some of the students don´t like to participate a lot and this makes me feel uncomfortable.
After the first activity I posted a chart on the board with some sentences with some spaces in blank and the students had to fill them out and copy.
In this class I was trying not to do my activities too fast neither too slow because there is a time for my class and I can´t finish early or too late, so I tried to do everything in the best way.
in the third activity I gave the students a piece of paper containing some fill in the blanks exercises, most of them participated in the exercises and enjoyed it.
The activity four was the hot potato game. for this activity I was expecting to have more time with the students, I thought It was going to last like eight or ten minutes but it only lasted three or four minutes because they are just a few students but anyways.
The next activity was about rewriting some sentences. the students had to use the paired onjunctions and rewrite all the sentences, all of them did good at it.
My last activity was "speaking" the students stood up and asked some questions to their classmates about sports, the rule was that they had to use the correlative conjunctions in the questions and in the answers.
I can say that this is a good group and small, but the problem is that even though they are just eight not all of them participate and this attitude makes the teacher feel uncomfortable in a classroom.
